Community Wellbeing Information Day

Hosted by Home Instead Senior Care, we were delighted to be invited along to take part in the community wellbeing information day at the Dewi Sant Community Centre, Pensarn.

This event seen organisations from various sectors get involved to help inform and support the local community. There were organisations from the public, private and third sector, along with social groups for various ages.

Welsh Blood Service were on hand to offer free tests to determine your blood type and Amplifon offered a free hearing aid check.

Representatives from Conwy Leisure, Abergele Rugby Club, Abergele Camera Club, U3A, Rotary and Abergele Cricket Club all had information on how to join and become a part of them.

The stand our group had contained information about what the groups aim is, as well as what can be found around the town that means said organisations are affiliated with the group. We also displayed past events showing off the success we have already received and how it has brought the community together.

There was also a file stating the pledges that local businesses have now committed to. Hopefully we can continue to add to this all the time, with new businesses and new pledges being consistently introduced.

We’re hoping to attend more events like this to help get the word out there about our work.

If you know of any relevant events coming up that you feel we should be apart of, please get in touch.
